I am deeply involved in 4 extracurricular activities (as in leadership roles, etc). When I filled out the CommonApp, I used the two-lines it provided to give basic summaries of them all. Then, using the short-answer, I expanded on ONE of them (my second most important…but most unique). Now, looking back, I really feel like I did not do justice to the other 3 extracurriculars that were very important to me. It had not occurred to me at the time to attach an additional sheet to explain them all; I thought that CommonApp did not intend for all EC to be explained…only a sampling was sufficient.

So now my concerns are:
- Do colleges expect everything important to you to have been explained and that a lack of detail means the activity was not very important to you? Do you think they will assume that I was only very involved in the activity I explained and only minimally involved in the ones I only used two-lines to explain? Or do you think they understand that some people only fill out what CommonApp allows?

2) Did you explain in depth all activities important to you…or were there some very important activities that you only used two-lines to explain?
