Congrats. What exciting news. I’m not there yet, but hope that S1 and DIL will have a baby in the next 2 years.
Babies are a wonderful invention! My grandbaby is over a year old now and the changes from birh to now are so amazing and so exciting.

I just came home after spending 5 weeks helping my daughter with her twin sons. I am jealous of those whose grandkids live closeby. We do facetime everyday. They change so much every week.

I had my children late in life, and if our kids wait as long as I did, I’ll be too old to enjoy the grandkids when they come. But it sure motivates me to keep exercising to stay in shape!

I ended up using a carrier indoors to take my grandbaby up and down stairs. I really just couldn’t liftt 15 pounds or so of squirming baby and hold onto the bannister at the same time. So, I had to use the baby carrier --Baby Bjorn thingie–to go up and down.
It was soo long ago for me, I am waiting on granddaughter decision about which colleges she will apply. Eventually, I hope to get another set, but it may not happen for awhile.
Congratulations. Too soon for me as my dd is still in college. (turning 20 this year)
I am in my 40’s and want to take some time for myself while she is studying. Maybe by 30 she may settle down.
Who knows what the future holds.

Congratulations!! I know that I will be thrilled when either of my girls become pregnant… but not happening so soon with either of them although they both have friends who are expecting and they are also busy with weddings and showers and all good things. Older d and her boyfriend have lived together now for 3 plus years… but no news on the horizon.

My kids aren’t in relationships, so we aren’t expecting grandbabies any time soon. Fortunately, niece has a baby and is expecting #2 in a few months.

Congrats! I’m sure I would be ecstatic. Both my kids in serious relationships but I’m not sure grandchildren will ever be on the horizon. DD states emphatically that she never wants kids and DS certainly doesn’t have kids in his future plans.
My eldest (31) is in a serious relationship of over a year now and they moved in together about 4 months ago. We love her and hope this is “it”. She’s a couple of years older than he is, and many of her friends already have kids which both S and GF seem to enjoy, so I hope grandbabies are in my future, though when is anyone’s guess. A couple of my friends have grandchildren and I am not too proud to say I’m jealous!
