How did you prepare for analytical writing

Can you point me in the direction of any online resources, or books you found especially useful?

I’m worried I will freeze up, but I guess practicing a bunch will help.

Look for sample questions online and write a few essays. That said, I just winged that portion.

I didn’t prepare for it, myself, other than skimming the chapters in my test prep book (Princeton Review). I think your best strategy is writing as much as possible. It doesn’t have to be wonderful prose. I’ve heard the best scored essays are usually the longest.

Taking a couple minutes to outline on the scratch paper also helped me to organize my thoughts so they weren’t all over the place. Once you have a general idea of where you are going it is easy to write quickly instead of always trying to come up with your ideas on the fly.
