I’m only a Sophomore, but my guidance counselor told me that I need to start thinking about colleges that I might want to get into. Apparently, it’s so I can get my grades to where they need to be by senior year to get into the schools I want. After a lot of research, I really like UC Boulder, mainly for it’s location and overall feel. My question is: what types of students does UC Boulder look for? Here are my current stats:

GPA: 3.4 OR 3.5 (maybe 3.6)

Extracurriculars:

Cashier at Wilson Farm for two years (will be four by the time I apply)

Editor of the School Paper (possibly Editor in Chief by senior year)

Acoustic Guitar

Member of the Activities Committee

*I did track last year and hated it. Do you think I should keep doing it just so I have a sport?

I haven’t taken the SAT’s yet, and I can always look up the average one’s for the school on Princton Review or the school’s website. My main concern is the whole extracurriculars thing.

Thankyou in advance!
