Hi, I was admitted to the university of colorado Boulder in their arts and science college. However, I’m starting to become more and more interested in majoring in engineering. I was already admitted to an engineering school, but i would really love to go to boulder. I was wonder ing, how difficult on average would it be to transfer between a non-stem field (economics) to an engineering one, because i have heard it is pretty hard.
Yea I’m aware of that, I’m just asking because many people have been saying that its more based on how many seats there are in the program, so i was just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation ( either at Boulder or any other school) and if it was difficult or not.
Every school is different, and it may vary year to year. There is a contact person listed in Erin’s Dad’s link - I suggest you make a phone call. We can’t tell you more than that.
Usually, when changing into a major is restricted, it is because the department would go over its capacity limit if it admitted all interested students.
Contact the school and ask. The sooner the better. Nobody here will have the answer.
