How difficult is to obtain classes from schools that you are not in?

<p>For example, how hard would it be for an Econ major in CAS to take some finance courses in AEM? (Are the classes always filled up in AEM or something or what?)</p>

<p>Also, is it difficult to take those classes because of prerequisites?</p>

<p>What about a Cornell CAS Econ major wanting to take HR management courses in ILR?</p>

<p>Typically majors have top preference, but generally speaking it is not hard. I took upper level history, English, PAM, and biology courses while I was in ILR.</p>
