How difficult would it be to get...

a 3.7 in Arts?
I’m sure it can very significantly by major with philosophy probably being the hardest in arts, or one of them.

I would more than anything love to go to a top PhD program. In general how difficult would it probably be to get a 3.7@McGill? What kind of social life would the average McGill student expect if acheiving such grades?

it’s not as hard as people make it out to be. just do the work. don’t slack off too much. u can still have a life. i screwed up majorly my 1st semester. but i’m doing a lot better this semester because i’m actually doing work. also, be careful about which courses you choose. i’m a good writer and i had to write a lot of papers this semester which helped my grade a lot. so it can get subjective. bottom line: doable.

I wouldn’t worry too much about grad school right now, especially when you have very little research experience.
