How do ACT scores work?

<p>I know you get a composite score from each of the four sections, but how about writing? Is the essay a separate score? Or is it counted into the English score?</p>

<p>the essay is combined with your english to form a seperate score (combined english/writing score)</p>

<p>However, you still get a separate English score and the writing score (which you do see) is not taken into account in the composite score.</p>
