How do blind people handle their money? (US)

I just realized that blind people have to rely on the cashier’s honesty to tell the truth as to what they get as change. How would they tell a $20 bill from a $1 bill.

What would you suggest they do? If we change the sizes of the bills then all of the vending machines, etc. would have to be reconfigured, and I have no clue as to how hard that would be.

Maybe each dollar could have a unique smell.

“Five Bubblegum bills, please.”

“Would you like your bill broken into crispy chicken or peppermint?”

Just kidding.

My friend’s dad used to fold it a certain way. I know another who used only twenties (as those were the only ones that came out of ATMs).

Also, alot of people don’t even use cash here anymore, they instead use credit/debit cards.

using debit/credit would definitely be a lot easier for blind people, and wouln’t require changing all the money.

You see DareDevil? He knows how to deal with it. and if they’re lying about his change…that night justice will prevail. LOL

just adding raised texts would suffice

They should train their seeing-eye dogs to attack cashiers who don’t give the correct change. Some of those German Shepherds are smart motherf***ers.

some carry little machines that they can slide the bill through and it says, “five dollars”. i was behind a blind guy and the checkout counter at some store and he had that thing. he also folded each bill differently when he put it in his wallet.

I would probably just never use cash. Lots of people don’t anyway.

omg
so wait
we can totally rip off blind people in america?
what outrageous plans
