I have a 3.5 somehing UW, because my second semester of junior year was horrible (actually it was pretty much my journalism teacher decided to not like me after three years of As and give me a D before leaving five weeks before the end of school with little warning [ I am contesting it]), but only one AP as of 11th and four as of the end of 12th. I have taken something like 12 honors classes though. I have also taken college classes, how do those and honors factor into GPAs at private schools ala; Reed, Bennington, Hampshire, Bard et ctera.

Many (most?) colleges will recalculate your GPA as UNweighted (at the same time removing non-academic classes).

that’s good that D is in a class I’ve taken twice already, so non-acadeic I hope(?)

They will also compare the strength of your cirruculum with the strength of your schools ciriculum. You can always explain the situtation to your admissions counselor, if you do so tactfully
