I am currently in CoE (mechanical engg, Freshman). But i am very interested in economics too. Is it possible to do a double major with this combination? or maybe a minor in eco? i am not really sure how this works.
Across different divisions (CoE and L&S), it would be called simultaneous degrees. You would need to fulfill the general education requirements of the different divisions as well as the major requirements of both majors. This may be difficult to fit everything into your schedule without overloading, unless you bring in large amounts of useful college and AP credit.
There is no official minor in economics, but you can choose some economics courses for social studies breadth courses that are required by the CoE.
