How do I answer the CR section more accurately?

I just asked my brother (he got a 2300+) on how to answer the CR section’s questions more accurately and he said that I should work slowly to the point where I am answering every question correctly and then try to work my way down to 25minutes. I tried that and it took me nearly 45minutes! But the thing is, he is naturally a genius, he got a 2100ish the first time without practice and got up to 2300+. So he didn’t really do this.
Is this a good technique? I mean my CR score right now is 500 in the Barron’s book and around 540 in the CB BB.

Is there a better way or should I just keep doing as my brother says?
Also, my composite is around 1800. It was 1500 2 months ago!

Also, I know that time is the bigger factor in my situation. I am a rising Junior and during this summer I made my SAT score 300 points higher, to make my goal more attainable. I want to get 2100+ by the end of Junior year.
My writing score is 600-640, but if I keep doing WR sections, it will go up.
My math score is 600-670, I am trying to increase it and I still have to take Alg 2, so I registered to take Honors trig to help even more. :]

So the main question is:
Would my brother’s technique work? At least by the end of Junior year?
