How do I apply for Selective Service as a 16 year old?

<p>Okay, so I filed my FAFSA but it says I could not be registered for the Selective Service because I am under 17 and i know that you need to be signed up for Selective Service to get the FAFSA. So how do you get the FAFSA if you are under 16?</p>

<p>You don’t have to be registered if you’re not old enough…just answer no to the “are you registered” question and “yes” to the “would you like us to register you” one. They will send you an email or postcard when you’re old enough to be registered.</p>

<p>but colleges keep telling me my FAFSA is incomplete because of the Selective Service part -.-</p>

<p>I would email the colleges back and point out that you’re not old enough to register. Federal regs mandate only that males over 18 be registered.</p>
