How do i apply for summer session?

Hi,
Whenever I select summer 2015 as my term, I get prompted with an error saying “graduation date should be earlier than admit start date.” my graduation is June 5th, and I am trying to select July 6th term. Are freshman even allowed to do summer session at IU?

Usually freshman don’t do summer classes before the fall. You can call the registrar’s office and ask, though, assuming you are an admitted student now.

I don’t believe freshman are allowed to start during the summer session. Technically it begins on May 12th even though courses start and end at different times throughout.

I do not believe freshman are able to take summer classes–take the summer off and enjoy yourself, there will be enough to do without taking a summer class

I actually applied for summer term. The system allowed me to still have yet to send in my SAT scores but I am not sure what is going to happen. Will they differ me to Fall or just deny me?

@thecalebfarley‌ I think you need to figure out how you are going to pay for college before applying to any more schools. You’re OOS for all US schools and your parents will only pay a tiny amount. You can only borrow $5500 for frosh year. You would need cosigners to borrow more, and that isnt’ a great idea. You’d end up with too much debt. Are your parents citizens? If not, they can’t cosign loans here or do Plus loans.

@mom2collegekids‌ I am actually a Indiana resident so I get instate tuition at IU and both of my parents are US citizens. The funny thing is my father just got a nice raise so they will be able to help me quite pay quite a bit more. I also learned that I will be hopefully getting some funding from a National Kickboxing organization as I am a part of the US national Team. They hopefully now will be able to help out with 10-15k and if needed we can get a loan. I am also currently working so hopefully that will be able to cover the small costs.
