How do i boost my score?

i took 3 practice tests in 3 days. (only took the psat) and my scores are following, 1790, 1850, 1840(all with a assumed score of 10 on the essay.), and i found that my weakness is the critical reading part(with a average score -550). the real sat test is in December and what are things i should do in order to acheive 2000+?

take practice tests, you should have done 20 by your last SAT. its the only way.

As the results in the three practice tests that you’ve taken show, if you take one practice test after another without deeply processing the results of each test in turn before moving on to the next practice test you’re unlikely to improve.

Take a test. Identify your area(s) of weakness and slowly go through the responses, certainly for the questions you got wrong but also for those that you were unsure and guessed correctly. Identify problems similar to these and work on them. You most likely will take more time on the post test processing than on the test itself. Don’t fall into the trap of taking practice test after test for the next 30 days.

Also considering how little time you have, find a tutor or sign up for a SAT course. You’re in range of 2000+, and such a tutor/course will provide the discipline you need and may help you find those extra 150 points.

As an additional caution don’t assume a 10 on the essay. A more credible and conservative assumption is 8. Of course if you can get someone knowledgeable to critically review your essay there may be reason to assume a 10.
