I am a current junior in high school. I live in Chicago. Here are my top choices right now.
Brown University
-i love the open curriculum
-its not as “stuffy” as some other ivy league schools
- lots of freedom
-its not in a big city, which is a major letdown
-not great sports teams

Vanderbilt
-Nashville seems awesome
-good sports teams
-good social scene
-maybe its too southern/conservative?

Northwestern
-good sports
-close to home
-great social scene
-by a big city, my home Chicago!
-not as well known as the others

Columbia
-beautiful campus
-NYC!
-not sure if i would like the core curriculum
-not sure how great the social scene is

Notre Dame
-good sports and school pride
-not sure if i want to go to a catholic school
-not by a big town
-good social scene

Georgetown
-by a big city
-catholic
-pretty and good for job apps

thanks in advance for your opinions. i guess im concerned about not having anything to do at ND and Brown because im used to a very urban environment. However, I do like Browns curriculum and my parents want me to go to ND or NU. Is NU seen as prestigious like the others I have mentioned?
