I do not want to go to Penn State Brandywine.

My parents think it will be better if I go to Brandwyine but they are not sure. In terms of cost it’s the same so don’t bring it up the real issue is Academics and Social Life:

How do I convince them that the better teachers come from Altoona because it’s a bigger and older campus?

How do I convince them that Altoona has a much better program and my life there will be much better?

How do I convince them that there is a huge difference between the two?

Basically I need real proof and evicence that Altonna is better. Parents, other Penn State Kids help a brother out I don’t want to go to Brandywine.

Do you intend on transferring to University Park after your two years at a branch? Because honestly from what I hear they’re all academically around the same, which is easier than UP anyway. Altoona is generally regarded as the default second choice campus for kids because its most like UP but I can’t confirm that…

Honestly i’d just pull the happiness card and say hey, if were going to pay for college can I at least be happy with what I’m doing? – if its the same cost, then this should win. If you’re not happy at your school, studies clearly show you don’t do well academically.

" the better teachers come from Altoona because it’s a bigger and older campus?"
" Altoona has a much better program "
You must have some basis for making these statements. Where did you get this information?

You say Altoona housing is filling up. I don’t think Brandywine even has dorms. Would you commute to Brandywine? The cost may not be the same. If you commute to Brandywine, then there are no costs for room and board. If not, you will need to find off-campus housing, so still probably not the same costs as a dorm at Altoona. I think a lot of kids pick Altoona because of the proximity to University Park so they can easily go up for football games and other activities.
