Other than getting high grades? I am starting a research project with a faculty member, but is there anything else I could do to get really involved in my major outside of neuroscience classes? I intend to go to grad school for neuroscience or med school for psychiatry.

Thanks!

If you plan to go to graduate school, the most important components of your application will be your research experience and faculty recommendations, so getting involved with a faculty member's research and becoming close to other faculty members will be the most important things you can do for yourself when application time comes.

You could also start reading major journals -- Nature, Science, Cell, Nature Neuroscience, Neuron -- as the skill of journal-reading is extremely important for a prospective researcher.
