I am a freshman in high school. I am taking Honors English, Honors Geometry, Honors Global Studies, Debate, Biology, French 2, and PE. I plan to join the golf team and possible even the baseball team. I volunteer at the library and will join some clubs. How do I make the next couple of years of high school the best for me? How will I get into an Ivy League School?

Please give me your advice, no matter how harsh it is.

you know the usual stuff. take hardest courses, score high, have a few committed activities. but the problem is that everyone does this. if you are aiming ivy league, you are competing globally. you’ll see that all A’s is not that big. and the usual saying that top colleges are looking for well-rounded students… everyone is freakin well-rounded! you want to be well-rounded PLUS excelling in some areas. If you plan on debating in college, contact the Harvard coach. I heard he’s kinda crazy tho. Aim high~ and good luck

no one’s going to tell you how to shape your life for the next four years (although some people do prefre that, which is absolutely ridiculous).
And one more advice. Your ultimate goal is not ivy league. There is life after college too. You want long term planning. Think career… think life.
