I recently came across this site and I’m hoping that someone, ANYONE has been through something similar to what I’m currently going through and can help out even a little. This past Friday I received an email from my college’s financial aid division saying my financial aid for 2015/2016 is currently on hold. In order to prove I didn’t file taxes for 2014, they said I need to bring in a 1722 since the verification of non-filing letter that I sent in after filing a 4506-T isn’t acceptable. I tried looking all over for it on the IRS website but I couldn’t find anything about it. I tried calling the transcript phone number. The automated system keeps saying because I didn’t file a joint return they can’t provide any information regarding my transcript. I tried to request it to be sent by mail. Every time after I input my information, it says my request can’t be completed. This is becoming really frustrating because this is the only thing that’s holding me from starting college. So how do I get one?
