I’m currently 20 years old, and I’m almost done college. I want to go to university right after college, however, many universities rejected me because of my high school transcript. The only thing that can get me into uni is my college transcript, but they refuse to accept it. My question is how do I get into university? And what do I apply for? I tried mature student, but they said I have to be 21 and I have to be out of school for two years. All I want to do is get a degree and then my masters in either psychology or film, but I can’t even get through the admissions process.

Some states (VA) have contracts with State Universities that allow community college students to enter the state universities with a certain GPA. This might be an option in your state that you could check out.

If you are low income, have a disability, or are unemployed, your state/district should have a government assistance program to help you with this. I get the impression that you live in the UK. I’ve heard it’s less supportive there, but there should still be something.

Start with a community college. You can get your lower division courses out of the way and if you maintain a high GPA you can transfer to a better University for upper division and graduate school.

Why is your college transcript unacceptable? Is that college regionally accredited? Or what is the reason it isn’t acceptable and who has told you they won’t take it? Did you apply already? If you have college credits from a 2 year, then you’d usually apply to a 4 year as a transfer student. More information is needed if you want help.

Hi, I think you have not provided sufficient information in your query which is making it difficult to help you. I agree with Brown Parent as to why is your college transcript unacceptable and what kind of colleges have you applied to.

You can take the help of professionals. I had taken the help of The Chopras for all my education related queries.

Just to clarify - I think some people are confused on this thread due to OP’s use of “college,” which in many countries refers to secondary or high school.
The Chopras aren’t that helpful according to my experience . Also, another friend of mine wasn’t so happy with it. They mostly tell you to do stuff on your own. Nevertheless, he’s in UC Irvine now.
