No one in my family has attended college, so when I got here and people started talking about the “research they’re interested in,” I kept wondering how exactly they got so interested in something in the first place? Where do you start? Where do you go? Do you just read scholarly articles all day long? How do you narrow down your interests when there doesn’t seem to be an end to the relative list of articles? (Also, I’m a psychology major so if anyone with experience in this realm has some advice, I would really appreciate it!).
