How do I improve my chances?

I'm a junior in high school, I have a pretty good GPA and I take AP classes. I'm interested in applying to the College of Arts and Sciences. I haven't been too involved in extracurriculars, but this year I'm starting Mock Trial, Chem club, a chemistry internship, and volunteering. I was wondering if there are any ways to improve my chances aside from improving my GPA and doing well on the SAT. Thanks.

It’s going to be hard to show you have commitment for a specific extracurricular activity. IMO, your best bet is to dump a crap ton of time into volunteering.

Alright, thanks. Would you recommend that I try to find other extracurriculars in chemistry or should I just work more hours in the activities I’m already participating in?

Make sure your chemistry internship is substantial. If something written can come of it (letter of recommendation, abstract from a paper, details of an experiment, etc.), that would be helpful.
