How do I know if I'm a pre-med?

<p>I’m an incoming freshman and I don’t remember signing up for this on the UC application. I only remember checking a box that said I’m interested in medicine. I’m majoring in chemistry, but how do I know if I’m going for pre-med or not?</p>

<p>If you plan on going to med-school… That’s the only thing that designates a pre-med.</p>

<p>The main way would be if you’ve already decided what you’re going to have for lunch. Otherwise you probably don’t know what you’re going to have for lunch.</p>

<p>Oh okay… lol. SO there’s nothing I had to check on my application? It just depends on the courses I choose to take?</p>

<p>Yeah, pre-med isn’t any sort of official designation. It’s just a matter of your plans for after you graduate.</p>
