How do I overcome this?

I was homeschooled my first two years of highschool (nothing disciplinary;totally a family choice). So I did not take AP classes/tests during that time. As a result, I have only taken one AP class in my highschool career (AP Gov’t -4). As a senior, I am taking 3 AP classes, and an English class that will be a community college class that will prepare me for the AP English test. So, come May, I will be taking these AP tests:

AP Chemistry
AP Calculus AB
AP Micro Economics
AP Macro Economics
AP English
AP U.S. History (self study)
AP Spanish (self study)

Will the top schools I am applying to (Yale, Princeton, Georgetown, George Washington University) hold it against me that I have only taken one AP class in my life before this senior year? If so, how do I overcome this on my application?

Thanks for your assistance!

well if you have good standardized test scores you should be able to overcome it, however if you have average test scores for Ivy Leagues you could be in potential trouble

^OK.

Is there anything I can put in my app to counteract this?

Maybe mention it in the additional info section? I 'm homeschooled, and until this spring I had no clue I could take APs, so on my transcript, I have none until 4 in sr. year, so I’m just expaining in the additional info section.

I don’t think they’d hold it against you.

^That’s very encouraging. Thank you!

So will it look bad taking all those AP tests this year after only taking one previously? Does it look like I’m overdoing it?
