I want to report one of my professors for her behavior towards me. My genetics professor to be exact. Who should I go? And do you happen to know the room number or phone number?

It could depend on the behavior. Is it criminal? Sexual harassment based? Or is this academic related?

Whether it’s sexual harassment or racial discrimination or anything of the sort, talk to someone in the Dean of Students office as soon after the offense as possible.

UT Ombudsperson

So I emailed the dean of students at deanofstudents@austin.utexas.edu with a specific subject title. Hopefully I get a response soon.

if it’s not serious and the dean doesn’t help you…you probably should just let it go.

i had a genetics lab professor be REALLLYYY unorganized…i mean we show up and basically “wing” our lab…

I asked her several times to give us an idea of what is going on during lab at least 24 hours in advanced…and she agreed but then…she would email us at midnight the day before lab…

i ended up withdrawing from the class…2 weeks later and trying to get the withdraw taken from my transcript but no one really wanted to help.
It was the beginning of the semester and I didn’t have to time to make a big deal.

leave bad ratings on ratemyprof and myedu lol

Why would my “reporting a professor for her behavior toward me” be akin to a disorganized professor…

I was just saying man…calm down.

If you weren’t immediately harmed and your grades werent affected by it…it probably isnt worth your trouble because most of the time the “officials” don’t do anything about it.

If it’s sexual harassment or something serious…and the “officials” don’t help you
Your best bet is to just take it to the news and make it public. I’m sure they have no problem putting it on the news that a UT professor did something like that.

You never exactly told us what exactly it was that you need to report so I was just giving you something that occurred in my life. Read it…take what you want from it…do what you want…move on. It’s kind of what a forum is for…

Better safe than sorry.
Make a report.
Otherwise it’ll probably just keep happening, whatever it is.
It’s your tuition dollars that go to them and such.

My email received a reply the next day, and I was directed to the ombudsperson.
@Locness Um, there was no calming to do. So I stopped reading there.

How about your adviser ? Maybe a Dean -it’s depends on if this is a crime or not .
