How do I represent cc course during semester off on application?

Hi everyone,

I currently attend a 4 yr liberal arts college and am looking to attend a UC school. I took a semester off this fall, primarily for financial reasons, and so that I could have a chance to attend a UC school because my credits make me a junior now. I decided to take a course at my local community college just to have something to fill my time - it has nothing to do with my major and I don’t need the course to apply. How would I represent this on my application and do I need to include this course on my list of courses taken? The community college isn’t my current school, as I am still enrolled in my 4 yr and would return there next fall if things don’t work out with transferring.

Thanks!

Yes include it. It becomes the last school you attended, even if it’s not a UC transferable course.

Ok thanks! Should I mention in the other info section that I’m still enrolled in my other school or does it not matter?

You’ve technically withdrawn for the time being, if you’re not taking any classes at your 4-yr. If you withdrew in good standing, you can mention it in the info section.
