How do I squeeze out those points out of this test???

<p>Hi,
This is my first post on this site, but I have been looking around for a while now. So, my dilemma is this, on taking an SAT practice test, for the math sections I can get near perfect scores, but then on the critical reading, and the writing sections, I always lose 100 points or more! Afterwards, when I go back and check my mistakes, I see that all of my mistakes were the result or carelessness or that i picked a very similar answer to the correct one!
So if anyone has had this same problem or has this problem right now, please help me deal with this. </p>

<p>Oh, just a little fact that i’m throwing out, for the last 4 times I have taken the SAT practice test, I have gotten the exact same score four times! the same 680 every time. So I hope that there is something I can do to improve my score.</p>

<p>Anyway, since i have been looking around on CC, i noticed that many people suggest grammatix as a viable solution to increasing Critical reading, but i was wondering if it can help me get from a 680 up to possibly a 750 or more?</p>

<p>I personally didn’t like Grammatix. Some people say it works and some people say it sucks. I guess it depends on what you’re more comfortable with. I prefer the more straightforward approach of reading the passage and then answering the questions…</p>

<p>the SAT is actually very study-able, and i think that your goal of a 750 is very reachable. for those careless mistakes, you need to just take a deep breath and slow down. As for those where you claim you pick answer that is “similar” to the correct one. but if you take some time to study, you’ll realize that no two answers to any one question is the same. try grammatix for CR, i found it to be a big help.</p>
