How do I stack up?

<p>Help! I am coming from a desperate place and am seeking some educated opinions! By the time I apply to some of my favorite schools, I will have a 3.8 gpa. I also have an internship and am part of my CC’s journalism staff. I am also hispanic (if this detail even offers any leverage anymore). Moreover, I am majoring in communications. I am applying to many schools; however, USC, UCLA, and UCSB are my top choices.</p>

<p>How do I stack up? I am very discouraged…</p>
