how do I stack?

Sorry to ask this again because it has been asked over and over, but I am just curious.

GPA: 3.83/4
ACT: 32

Decent ECs in different areas of interest.

Leadership kind of lacks.

I had a job for the past three years over the summer.

What you think?>

Oh yeah I’ll also have 9 APs under my belt when I graduate.

SATII Math 770

SATII History 680

What job? Which school at CMU? What rank does that GPA give you?

From what I can see no reason not to apply.

I am not sure what job I want to go into. I was talking about CIT, possibly for ED. I am not sure what department I want yet so I would probably apply undecided. My school does not rank but I know I am at least top 20% because I was nominated for something that was only for top 20%. Besides that, I have no clue.

What are my chances?

Chances are above average. You’re male and… not an URM I’m assuming, so no huge advantage there. I’m thinking that tour EC’s are probably what will determine your acceptance at this point. Math scores are high enough for CMU, and I’m hoping that you DO have a science SAT II for CIT… You should get in ED (?), but I cannot tell you that with much certainty.

I have a question… How much does being a girl help in applying to CIT  Anyone?

I took the bio satII freshman year but did not do too great. I got a 650. Is it worth sending? Should I just send the math and history one?

You can’t. CIT actually ** requires ** a science SAT II other than biology (i.e. physics or chemistry) in addition to a math one.

Make sure you read the application information first before applying.

College board will send all your SATs anyway. You can’t pick and choose. By job - I meant summer job. Does it relate to your interests? Would you want or be able to get a supplemental recommendation from it? My son included two recommendations from people he’d done computer programming for, no way to know, but I expect it helped with his acceptance.
