52% chance

Well it claims on that website that the average AI of accepted students is 211, but since that website hasn’t been updated in years, I would think that it is closer to 220 or even 225. My friend who had his academic profile evaluated for potential recruiting has an AI of 219 and the coaches/adcoms weren’t thrilled about his academics. I think the average recruit’s AI has to be around 211 based on conversations I have had with Columbia coaches so I can only assume the average AI for the school is a decent amount higher than that.

Cortana, that’s a great score! If I actually get my projected SAT/SATII score, I’ll have an AI of 222!

In “A is for Admission”, Hernandez says that most applicants fall in the 200 range (which is quite surprising),or A3.

An, A-3 has about a zero chance IMO.

“It is unclear what students in this category would add to the life of the college”

Is a 229 a good AI score?

^ according to the scale it is ‘very good’. But I spotted a flaw with the calculator right away: it doesn’t take into account the different rigor of different SAT subject tests and different course loads.

^ I looked at Hernandez’s “A for Admission” book and it had a different formula for calculating AI, and that is probably more accurate than any online, and it gave me an AI of 223 lol.

I agree, the AI for ivies and top schools is probably 215-220 right now, but it could be something that varies little over the years and is still hovering around 211.

Anyway, each college probably has their own variation of calculating AI, mostly because there are a significant variables that need to be taken into account.

Did you read the book? A AI of 216-220 is a 6 which at best has a 52% chance if everything else is perfect.

The sad truth is it all get added in togeather. there really isn’t any add on for AP’s etc. It is a known flaw in the system. You are screwed if your school send in a unweighted average,

Orcaaa is an admissions ■■■■■ for sure. Why are you trying to keep everyone down with your fake facts

What people don’t realize is that colleges like the Ivies don’t really care what your GPA is. They care a lot more about what your rank is because at some schools a student could have a 4.8 GPA and still not be in the top 10% whereas in other schools a student could have a 3.8 and be in the top 5% at their school. Colleges realize this and so what percentile you fall in is a lot more important than what your GPA actually is. Also, they usually compare your academic profile to that of previous applicants to the school to see how you rank.

most schools don’t rank.

My school doesn’t rank but since I’m in the top 5 averages of the school, I just guestimated 4/520 as my rank.

I got 226 aka “very good chance”

but we’ll see about that…T___T
