How do I take back my acceptance?

I sent my deposit to Penn and now I’m not so sure. I know I lose the deposit, but how do I make sure that they get it that I’m not going there? I’m still not sure, but I want to know just in case I decide not to go.

On that note, the “other” school is Carnegie Mellon, for CS. In Penn I’m doing DMD. I am totally lost in which to choose. CMU is giving me 7k a year. I think all that’s factoring in my decision now is quality of life. I have always been around driven, intelligent students who study all day and make me feel stupid and study all day, too. Which school would help me get out of that environment, keeping the intelligent part? In other words, which school would be less stressful and competitive, but still intellectually challenging? From what I’ve heard, Penn sort of fits that, but is CMU really study-study-study?

Also, it’s late, and CMU housing is first-come first-serve. If I send my SIR now, will I end up in an apartment with upperclassmen or will I get decent housing?

I’m so confused and lost, as I know many are. Thanks so much in advance.

I think you made the right choice; I’d stay at Penn.

Personally, I would stick with the decision.

I am feeling some doubts about my decision too… But I think it is normal. I guess kinda like before getting marry or something. lol. :stuck_out_tongue: It is a huge commitment and it is normal to have doubts.

Thank you, guys! I have decided to stick with it, as well.
