<p>How do I take the Chinese placement test?</p>

<p>I looked on the website and I couldn’t find the info…
Also, do I need to be proficient my ability to write? Is the test in mandarin Chinese or like the simplistic kind?</p>

<p>I got an 800 in Chinese w/listening SAT Subject test, but it was during my freshman year</p>

<p>Thank you for the link. It helped. But, see, I really don’t understand lol. Does that mean I never have to take another language course at UVa because of that 800? Does it matter that I took it my freshman year, 4 years ago?</p>

<p>You do not need to take any additional language unless you want to. I don’t think it matters when you received the 800 so long as it was reported to UVA. There’s a foreign language coordinator that you could contact if you have additional questions regarding the testing and/or placement should you wish to take additional coursework. </p>

<p>is there even a chinese placement test? i didn’t take the SAT II subject test but would really like to place out of chinese…especially after 4 years of it in high school.</p>
