I was accepted to a local public school then I got into my binding early decision school. The local school I never paid the enrollment deposit to so I guess I never technically committed, I simply received an acceptance letter. But I am required to "withdrawal’ the application. Am I good or do I have to do something further??
You need to decline the offer of admission at the public school. If they have an online portal, there’s usually a way to respond there. If not, email admissions and tell them “thanks for the offer, but I was accepted to [school] ED, and will not be attending [public school]”.
Yep. And if you have to email, don’t elaborate. Just keep it short. In fact, you don’t even have to name the school you’ll be attending.
