How do schools become prestigious?

<p>Prestige is a very hard thing to measure. A lot of things go into it. Name recognition, strength of programs, strength of services, caliber of professors, caliber of students, endowment money, etc. Don’t sweat the prestige too much. If you go to a highly prestigious school and do miserably, the name on your diploma won’t mean much to employers and grad schools.</p>
