<p>My son has received an athletic scholarship, last year he lived on campus and it covered his tuition and part of his room and board. This year he will be living off campus, will thay actually give him $$ each quarter to pay for off campus housing? When I asked him, he wasn’t sure how it works and I never really thought to ask</p>

<p>I’d ask the coach and the fin aid department, they should be able to tell you and it can certainly vary by school etc.</p>
<p>If he is the star of the football or basketball team then everything should be paid for and he should be driving a new SUV. If he plays anything else then I do not know.</p>
<p>Wishful thinking!! He plays a non-$$ making sport for a mid-level D1–he is lucky he is getting anything!!</p>
<p>At my sons school the players are sent a check each month for the ones who live off campus.</p>
