<p>I read a few months ago the book by Carolyn Jessop. It is very disturbing and discusses the mindset of those being raised in the group and the abuse she endured. Even after she got out with her kids, the mind control had already set with one of her daughters. The girl returned to the group. The book is very interesting. See if you can get it out of your library.</p>

<p>Okay slightly off topic - I just wanted to point this out - a man who has sex with a teenage girl is not a pedophile. A pedophile would like actual children, not girls who have gone through puberty.</p>

<p>I don’t know, when a friends D, who started her period at 11 (yes 11), I would consider an adult maile that had sex with her a pediphile</p>
<p>Acts of ephebophilia involving minors and pedophilia are both considered crimes, so I’m not sure the distinction matters. </p>
<p>But I would argue an adult man who views a female as solely serving a sexual function from the moment of that female’s birth…even to the point of graphically coaching prepubescents in the merits of sexual submission and to the point of creating a human breeding program…is a criminally disturbed predator.</p>

<p>And it is galling that some say they shouldn’t have gone in there in the first place, because its religious</p>

<p>we have a government that is so worried about terrorists that our phones can be tapped, but children are allowed to be terroized for years with no one paying attention, because its a “religious” group</p>
<p>the latest I heard tonight is that investigators found a ‘consumation’ bed in the temple. This bed would be used to consumate the spiritual marriage after it has been conducted in the temple. Depending on the seniority of the male, sometimes others would watch. How much sicker can this get?</p>
<p>I fail to see how this has anything to do with the Duke case. That the girl gave an affidavit full of details of her abuse and then tried to recant, clearly out of fear, was publicly known from the beginning of this case. What toblin links is not new information. And it is very normal for this girl to feel the pressure of intimidation…after all, what is it…about 1500 to 1?? She’s going it alone and probably scared to death.</p>

<p>ANd when it comes to children being abused, if people like Razorsharp think still think there was consent here, my goodness…what can I say</p>
<p>They can fight the search warrant all they want, it won’t get thrown out</p>
<p>I am all for personal choice, freedom, not getting your home searched or your phone tapped willy nilly, but this was not willy nilly</p>
<p>we are talking about hundreds of children who people never see, who were prisoners, and if they wanted to speak out and say what was going on they were beaten</p>
<p>ps for all the police knew, there could have been children hiding or locked away in the temple, males (I refuse to call them men, they aren’t men, they are something else, but don’t deserve the title of Man)</p>
<p>If there is any doubt about the searching of the temple< a HUGE building with many rooms, all the police need to say, and which is very likely the truth, is that they were looking for the girl who made the call, and for other people that could be suspects, so to NOT search the temple would have been irresponsible</p>

<p>I am so angry at the people saying this was wrong to check out because it was a religious group, watching representatives of the Mormon Church, the mainstream church, on the news just made me more angry- the gall of saying this is about religious freedom is astounding</p>
