I think they’ve already started expanding classes. I noticed when I was looking through chemistry, philosophy, etc. that there were more spaces than there were when I previously looked up classes.

That really is not cool about Arabic. I hate that the language classes are so full.

They do open up some new spaces for freshmen; I know some classes have been expanded already, but I’m not sure if the process is complete across the board. Some classes keep expanding even once classes have begun if there’s huge demand, like Econ 101 did last year.

Lanugage classes are always popular (full), but students add and drop so many classes during open registration the first week of classes that you’ll probably still be able to snag a seat. Again, see post 4.

To all those registering as incoming freshmen:
Don’t stress about not getting into every class you want, especially before school starts. People move in and out of classes a lot during the add/drop period, so usually a spot will open up in some classes. If not, you can usually just show up to the first day of class and ask the professor for an override. Most profs are pretty good about letting kids that show interest into their classes.

I was a freshman last year and I was disappointed about the registration information. Be sure to be online at 8AM (EST) on the day that registration opens.
