how do they grade AP's

hey does one person grade your whole FRQ booklet or are the seperate question read by many people???

I am pretty sure that one reader is assigned a specific question… so for example for the free responses, if there is six questions, then six separate people will grade it… this ensures the fairness of the grading or whatever…

I believe that it is also graded more than once to ensure accuracy and precision.

It’s not like it matters…

I’m pretty sure they have separate tables grading each question in order to ensure fairness…especially to prevent graders from giving you a higher score than you deserve for one essay because you did awesome on another.

two graders for each essay/free-response question. a third/better grader if the two graders don’t give close scores. graders are trained specifically for teh question they are grading.

yep. 2 readers by experts for the FR section

Each essay is read by different readers. Most of my AP teachers have gone to the summer grading sessions to grade the exams. They said that teachers are divided up into essay groups and then into table groups with one leader per group. Ech reader is given a huge stack to read and the table leader checks random graded papers to make sure that the grader is grading correctly.
