How do top schools claim there are no race or ethnicity quotas?

When, at the same time, each class consistently admits the same percentage of members of each race?

Sorry if I’m not allowed to talk about this here

They can correctly claim that there is no official quota— but certainly goals for various sub-groups (whether they be ethnicities, gender balance, geographic, international, athletes, faculty kids, celebrities, science geniuses, music prodigies, etc. – take your pick) are no mystery.

Which schools are you talking about? I don’t believe that HYP, Columbia, Dartmouth, Brown, or Chicago release the number of admitted minorities. They just say how many enrolled.

Do they understand that some people try to game the system? (ex. marking AA when they’re only 1/4 AA and don’t identify with the race. Obviously AA is a HUGE boost)

@reeinaz: sorry, that’s what I meant. Minorities enrolled.
