<p>How do volunteer hours work?</p>

<p>I formed my own organization that i spend 1-3 hours a day on. It’s not an official registered nonprofit, but I donate all the money I make from my work to charities. </p>

<p>Can I give myself hours or no? (since it would be kind of weird if I signed my own hours)</p>

<p>The money is a significant amount so it wouldn’t look fake even if I said 5 hours a day.</p>

<p>For college applications, you don’t need any signed hours. You can just tell them how long you spent on it.</p>

<p>Yep, just report it as one of your activities and/or list it on your resume (as an additional attachment to the application). You don’t need anything signed.</p>
