How do we get this stickied?

http://www.utexas.edu/student/admissions/research/HB588-Report11.pdf

I think it would clear up a LOT of misconceptions if they posted the admissions formula as a sticky that everyone could look at. Very few applicants and readers of this forum seem to realize that UT has a fairly strict formula that they plug your info into to determine your acceptability, and I think it would help eliminate a lot of confusion on the random “chance me” posts if people based their responses on UT’s actual admissions process and not what they think UT likes to see.

Anyone else think this is a good idea and want to see this report stickied?

Yes, it’s definitely an excellent source. We might have to update the site though since the percentages will change year to year and eventually become misleading. We can also include other links as well such as the housing timeline that would eliminate a lot of confusion and repeated questions.

We have to contact one of the moderators to get threads stickied.

Whats HSR?

High School Rank i’m assuming

Yeah the numbers and percentages do change, but I meant specifically the first couple pages with the info about the admissions formula.

There may be a seperate report for it. I will take a look.

actually from theloneranger’s last post, the ‘R’ probably stands for rigor.

bah, nevermind that, a site told me the ‘R’ is ‘rank’
