Hi. I am an incoming freshman and would like to sign up for either Calulus 21M-Accelerated Calculus or Calc 21AH-Honors Calc. Is there any way I could check if these classes are full or not and if so if I can get on a waitlist?? Because I am not able to register for courses at this time. Also, since I received no advising, I had no idea which courses to sign up for so I only chose Calc 21C. I obviously have not met the prereq’s but would like to go for either 21M or 21AH. I got a 5 on the Calc AB exam. **Do you think I am ready for either these classes? Are they full and how can I check or get on waitlist? Which one is typically harder? ** I am a physics major applying to medical school by the way.

P.S. Sorry if this is a bit jumbled. I am kind of in a hurry since classes are filling up! I have bold faced my questiosn in a nutshell. Please answer them if you can.

Medical School doesn’t really care which class you take as long as you fulfill the prerequisites. Frankly, you can take a very easy math class and you’d be fine, but it’s ultimately up to you. Medical School will only weigh GPA.

No, actually collegemom16 is wrong. The 21M requirement clearly has an “and” clause.

“Prerequisite: grade of B or higher in both semesters of high school calculus or a score of 4 or higher on the Advanced Placement Calculus AB exam, and obtaining the required score on the Precalculus Diagnostic Examination and its trigonometric component.”

Ok, so when/where do I take this Precalc diagonstic exam w. wits trig component? And how come I don’t see Calc 21M or 21AH Honors on the Open Course list…even from the very first day. Are they not having either this semester or what?
