Actually, I think it is. Asians aren’t generally stereotyped to be “uppity” or angry/militant; it’s more the case that they’re thought of as quiet, shy, the model minority that shuts up and minds its own beeswax. I don’t know how long Asians, Asian guys in particular, are gonna continue to put up with the constant bull***** and humiliation from American TV, film, and media any longer, portrayed as asexual, ching-chonging jesters for white people’s amusement (again, a la Jackie Chan in Rush Hour 3), but it’s starting to p!ss me off. Just a tad.</p>

<p>It’s one thing to point out the inequities in media/societal portrayals (such as WFAN recently hiring one of the “Jersey Guys” radio shock jocks to replace Imus, a shock jock, btw, who had made racist remarks about Asians and Hispanics – would WFAN had done the same if the shock jock had made racist remarks about blacks?) – but making gross generalizations about whites doesn’t do anything but make one a hypocrite.</p>
