how do white girls feel about asian guys?

Humm, interesting–I didn’t know an Asian guy directed Tokyo Drift. I guess the situation in Hollywood STILL sucks for Asian guys then. I thought that movie was a shining exception for me to hang my hat on, but I it turns out it’s only because it’s directed by an Asian guy.

Was it really true that he had to fight for it though? It seems rather ridiculous and hard to comprehend for me that the director has to fight for some likeable, non-stereotypical Asian characters for a movie set in GODDAMN TOKYO

I don’t really have anything against a white guy with a southern accent. The main character from Tokyo Drift seems cool enough, and I can relate to someone who’s always felt like “he never fit in” a little bit.

I actually give props to the movie because it doesn’t follow the American-cinema stereotype of the white guy getting the Asian girl–the girl wasn’t Asian. So I give the movie credit for that, for not fulfilling the whole white guy Asian-fetish fantasy (unlike say, Last Samurai, or the Miami Vice remake–Colin Farrell can choke on my big fat schlong).
