I am currently a junior who is planning to apply to Wharton’s LBW program for the summer of 2014. One of the essay prompts asks “Why LBW” and I was wondering if you guys have any resources that give a clear guideline for answering this type of question.

I already contacted someone who went to the program last year so I have a few really good topics that I would want to expand upon.

Any links to methods/sample essays would be very appreciated. Thank you.

It’s not that I was too lazy to google an answer to this question, I was just wondering if anyone could share links that he or she found useful when writing an essay like this. I know that there are tons of sites that answer this question, but I am not sure which site has the best answer.

I think to some extent, if you can’t honestly think of meaningful reasons to go somewhere, you may have to be careful deciding if you should go there. Admissions officers would be the first to tell you that going to Wharton because it’s prestigious or something is a bad idea.

I would suggest you hunt through their websites and imagine what you would do (courses, activities, etc.) if you went there. This does take a while, but it’s supposed to as the essay definitely shouldn’t be generic.
