<p>I wonder if I just offset my answers when I skipped one to go back to. Don’t you think it’s strange that my score went from 680 to 510? I didn’t say it was the test’s fault. Hah, if colleges didn’t put any emphasis on the test, I wouldn’t care. I do blame myself for the score. It’s difficult though, working your way into college and having one test mean so much.</p>
<p>I can relate to you with the math. I got a 540 on my math portion, but I always thought I was pretty competent with basic math skills like those on the test. Maybe you panic when you’re taking the test. That’s what I do.</p>
<p>I tend to overthink things. So when I see a simple problem, I use upper level math to solve it and make a mistake.</p>

<p>Also, I don’t want to sound like the icy person here, but I think it needs to be said with any sugar coating.</p>
<p>Everyone’s saying that scores aren’t everything. The thing wrong with that is that a) the person telling you has good scores b) very unknowing of how college adcoms select its class. SATs are not everything, that’s true, but SATs are almost everything though. </p>
<p>You need to get your scores up if you want to attend John Hopkins. Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you’ll get in by luck. That’s what I though. I got deferred from Brown.</p>

<p>That thought did run through my mind, that the majority of the people here are just telling me it doesn’t matter because they recieved a near perfect score.</p>
