Hey everybody. I took a practice test today and was kinda happy and kinda disappointed. I did really welll in the english and math (34, 36), but I seem to be having a problem in the reading and science (32, 29). I tend to finish really close to the end time, within about 5 seconds. I get stressed out on the last section and seem to rush through it. I end up missing almost every one of my points in the last passage. Is there any ways you have that will help me cut down on time? My goal is a 33 and with every 1 correct adding about .5 to my low scores, every question counts.

same here. I always finish with 3 minutes left in english and 6-8 in math, but science and reading i end up having to rush and/or guess the last few. took a practice test last week and scored a 32, took one today and scored a 34, but english and science still brought my score down.

anyone have any tips?

For the reading, read the questions first before the passage. That way you know what to look for as you’re reading and underline the relevant part of the passage. If it’s a question that says “in lines 1-5” or something like that, mark those lines and sometimes you can even figure out the answer without having to read the whole passage (what is the tone of this paragraph or what does this word mean type questions)
