@abasket - my dh is just basically anti-pillow in general. I am certain if he had his way we would have no decorative pillows anywhere. As we were sitting in our living room he tossed one OVER me on our sectional as it was “in the way.” I gave him the stink eye. He says it’s fine for me to have them, but it’s also fine for him to move them aside.
I like decorative pillows for aesthetics, primarily to bring color into a room. All of our large furnishings, walls, and floors are neutral. It is much less expensive to change out a color scheme with pillows than with furniture. Additionally, I am not super tall and like one behind my back for support and better posture. I suppose any old pillow could do that, but it might as well be pretty
