For those who got an 800 on any of the subject tests, how did you do it? how far in advance did you start reviewing? studying habits? helpful tips?

Due to the unfortunate fact that I recieved a horribly horrible low score on World History, I need all the help I can get. ;___;

In my Chem class, my teacher forced us to take about three practice tests under testing conditions. She then went through specific questions and gave us tips on how to solve them quickly and easily.

No one really needed this, though (although it WAS helpful), because she had done such a good job throughout the course.

For me, having an amazing teacher for the corresponding AP subject was enough. My excellent English literature class led me not only to a 5, but also to an 800 without any additional studying. The same could be said for my US History class, though I ended up with 790 on that, which isn’t technically what you asked for.

Thus, I recommend taking the SAT IIs in classes you’ve taken the AP of (except stuff like math, where the SAT II math doesn’t go as high as the lowest AP math test…in that case, take it after precalc.)
